Niger Deputy Speaker resigns

Bako Kasim Alfa, the Deputy Speaker of Niger State House of Assembly has resigned from his position. 

He conveyed the message of his resignation in a letter submitted to the Speaker, which was read on the floor. Alfa was however silent on why he choose to resign. 

Nomination for his replacement was moved by member representing Paikoro constituency, Suleiman Gambo Aninigi and seconded by member representing Kontagora Constituency, Sale Ibrahim Alhaji.

Jibrin Ndagi Baba, the lawmaker representing Lavun constituency was subsequently elected as the Deputy Speaker.

  1. What do that mean by this Nomination for his replacement was moved by member representing Paikoro constituency, Suleiman Gambo Aninigi and seconded by member representing Kontagora Constituency, Sale Ibrahim Alhaji.

  2. Am guessing he resigned because soon the Senate will call him to answer for his corrupt initiative.

  3. Just like that with out any good reason
    I think they should just find out what the problem is.
