Two suspected armed robbers have been reported dead following injuries sustained in an exchange of gunfire with the police at Otokutu Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Two other suspects fled into the bush just as the deceased died as they were receiving medical treatment at a hospital, DAILY POST can report.
The police also recovered one AK-47 rifle with breech no. not visible, an empty magazine, a cash sum of N200,000 and gold jewelries from the suspects.

The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Mohammed Ali, confirmed the report in a statement signed by the acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The police image maker said,”The Divisional patrol team from Otu-Jeremi police station while on stop and search duty along Egbo/Otokutu road received information that four suspected armed robbers snatched a vehicle.
“The team swung into action and chased the hoodlums but the gang on sighting the police team opened fire on them and in the ensuing gun battle the hoodlums were forced to abandon the tricycle.
“Two of the hoodlums escaped and ran into the bush while two others were fatally wounded and found in the tricycle with gunshot injuries.
“The DPO Otu-jeremi Division again led a combined team of police/vigilante to further comb the bush for the possible arrest of the other fleeing members of the gang but in the process recovered another AK-47 rifle with breach number NK344397 with two magazines and three live ammunition.”
DSP Edafe said,”Manhunt for the other members of the gang is ongoing.”
